Looks like something wrong in your system in this case.
First of all you need to turn off firewall and all antivirus software on your computer. If you have some additional security software turn it off too ( of course if you know how to add CurationSoft to each of them it's better to go this way). Try to start CurationSoft and test.
If it still doesn't work you need to check your system's logs. Just open application logs in your system and check what do you have there.
